I am Mantas Jeršovas, clinical psychologist and aspiring psychodynamic therapist working in Vilnius.

My clinical work is based on the principles of psychodynamic psychotherapy. In counselling, we work together to understand your life story and how your suffering came to be; we go back to important early relationships to understand which needs have not been met and how this affects you in the present; and we explore feelings, fantasies, and the unconscious reasons for your behaviour in order to make sense of things that do not make sense.  We go through this process together - you lead and the psychologist follows, helping you to see what is invisible. In the process, there is greater understanding, greater capacity to accept the suffering and that what we cannot change, which leads to more connection and less suffering.

I work with clients who:
  • experience emotional difficulties (mood swings, anxiety, panic attacks, difficulties to control or express emotions);
  • experience tough life events (loss, separation, migration, trauma);
  • think about suicide;
  • want to know themselves better and accept themselves (personal identity, self-image, LGBT*);
  • seek better relations with Others.
Price per session € 50. Length of session is 50 minutes.

Experience and qualification:
  • Currently working as a psychologist for the International organization for migration;
  • Currently studying individual psichodynamic psychotherapy at Vilnius university, Faculty of Medicine;
  • Master’s degree in clinical psychology (Vilnius university);
  • Induction course Psychotherapy and counselling at Regent’s University London;
  • Trainer in suicide prevention (safeTALK) and intervention (ASIST);
  • Seven years volunteering experience in emotional support hotline “Jaunimo linija”;
  • I’m the member of the Lithuania psychological association. I abide by the Professional ethics code of psychologists.
